After what should have taken a 4 day weekend to finish (Jeff's words), he finally completed the tilework in the front hall bathroom in just under two short months. In his defense, there were times when he didn't get to do very much on the bathroom tile b/c Tyler decided to get sick with RSV, or just needed a nap, or wanted mommy and daddy's undivided attention and would flash his baby blues or smile that incredible "play with me, daddy" smile.
Anyway, here is a small narrative complete with pictures.
Here is the vinyl sheetgoods that was put in the bathroom when the house was built. It doesn't look bad but you can definitely tell that it is vinyl.
Here is the bathroom with the toilet pulled out and the concrete board glued and screwed down.
Here is the bathroom with the travertine marble tile glued down and the spacers in place to keep all the tiles square and evenly spaced.
After grouting between the tile, re-setting the toilet, re-installing the baseboards and a little paint, here is the finished product. Come on over and take a look for yourself. Now Jeff wants to tackle a new deck. Let's hope Tyler doesn't graduate high school before the deck gets done. (Jeff actually wrote this entry, I had nothing to do with it.)
